Many of the objects we collect from South and Central America are dominated by religious art, heavily influenced by the Catholic Church. These religious objects were used by the Conquistadors to convert indigenous peoples, but in fact they represent a melding of different cultures. We also collect a wide variety of objects used in daily life: a mortar and pestle, a market stool, even swine troughs! Each one adds unique appeal to the contemporary home.
